Due to continued growth, we are adding a Sales Representative to our team. This is a technical sales position that requires a tenacious individual with strong mechanical aptitude. This is not a cold-calling or lead generation positon! In this role, you will continue to grow the business both by leveraging incoming needs and by strategically deepening partnerships in existing accounts.

Primary Responsibilities:

Effectively communicate with highly technical customers across the globe to understand their requirements and propose win-win solutions within stock product and custom lines.
Negotiate effectively to win valuable orders for SRS. Develop strategic long term agreements, stocking plans and other activities to help SRS become more deeply ingrained in each assigned account. Maintain sales volume that meets or exceeds established targets.
Appropriately divide time between managing incoming leads, managing key/active projects and following up with former customers or other inactive leads to strategically generate new business opportunities. Maintain current status information on all opportunities in the Lead Project Tracker (LPT)
Take incoming customer calls and offer product support to customers on stock product sales and on custom orders. Support customers with providing information on order status, tracking orders and expediting when needed.
Assist with the development of updated marketing information on relevant key assigned opportunities and secured orders including case studies and news articles.
Develop sales proposals that satisfy project requirements while meeting SRS profit margin goals.
Establish and maintain industry contacts to gather intelligence necessary for preparing the best possible quotes. Attend industry trade shows to network with customers and research opportunities.
Assist SRS General Manager in sales forecasting and planning.
Travel to customer sites to discuss new business opportunities and deepen existing partnerships as required. Up to 20% travel may be required.

Qualifications:

Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marketing, Communications, or related field strongly preferred. Relevant experience, exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude may be substituted for the degree requirement.
1-3+ years previous experience in customer service and/or inside sales for a highly technical industry. Internship experience and a degree will be considered in lieu of professional work experience.
Advanced abilities with MS Office Products including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Demonstrated ability to quickly master new systems and technology.

Strong attention to detail and discipline to consistently follow established processes.
Organizational abilities, both in physical and electronic workspace.
